There are times when you want to share content from your iPhone with others but don’t have Wi-Fi readily available. Fortunately, there are a few solutions available if that’s ever the case.
In this article, you’ll see how to mirror your iPhone to your TV without using a Wi-Fi connection.
Mirroring Your iPhone to a TV using Apple Peer-to-Peer Airplay
The latest versions of the Apple TV, such as the Apple TV 4K (2nd generation—2021) or Apple TV HD (Previously called Apple TV 4th generation—2015), will overseas data support Peer-to-Peer Airplay without Wi-Fi. If you have an Apple TV (Third Generation Rev. A—2012), it should also be running on Apple TV Software 7.0 or later.
In addition, you’ll need to have an iOS device that’s at least a 2012 model or later. Additionally, it has to have at least iOS 8 running on it. Unfortunately, Peer-to-Peer Airplay isn’t supported on earlier devices. You may still use screen mirroring on older devices, but a Wi-Fi connection is required.
