Schema structured data and Position

Schema structured data This Position 0 comes from an HTML5 <section> with an ID. It presents the correct section description, but (for now) doesn’t use the section’s H1 for the Featured Snippet title. This is a shame, because it would be better to have the section title. I’m sure that will come soon.

Tip:  The section/id/anchor combination is also useful for ordinary results. You get a “Jump to” link, a proper description (rather than the meta description)… and sitelinks:

Great! This is a good reason Schema structured data to use semantic

HTML5 in combination with ids and anchors.

FYI : I’ve coded a tool for my clients that identifies Featured Snippet opportunities for their existing content. While developing this tool, I realized how difficult it is for a crawler to identify and extract the main content (the core) of a page when there is no structural semantic HTML5. In 2018, I’m going to make sure all my clients use semantic HTML5 to structure their pages. It’s easy to implement and whatsapp number list brings visible and measurable results, so there’s no reason not to.

Schema.org markup is a way to present your page content in a way that Google understands natively.

Important:  Google recommends using JSON-LD for markup.

  • News Article
  • TechArticle

A million domains using this markup… It may the cookie apocalypse is approaching seem like a lot, but there are nearly 400 million registered domains. So, it’s unlikely that your competitors are using it. Only 0.25% of websites use this markup 😉

QAPage Schema for Position 0

This is a type of page I love

Schema goes far beyond a simple Q&A page type. You have the fax marketing ability to explicitly identify each question and answer on the page with a system based on  StackOverflow .

FYI: I use StackOverflow a lot because it consistently shows up in Google’s search results for web development Q&As. Google favors StackOverflow and sites that use Schema Q&A . I recommend you take advantage of it.
