Will you subscribe to my LinkedIn newsletter?

The main thing LinkedIn newsletter?  is that it’s not easy to find newsletters on LinkedIn to subscribe to . And therefore! it’s not easy to promote them either.

What I miss in LinkedIn newsletters

LinkedIn LinkedIn newsletter? hasn’t developed a newsletter search engine! so phone number library you can’t find out who’s creating newsletters and what they’re about. If a contact of yours creates a newsletter! you’ll receive a notification inviting you to subscribe. If a contact of yours shares a newsletter! it will appear in your feed and you’ll be able to subscribe. But that’s about it.

It’s also not very intuitive to check which newsletters each person subscribes to. To do this! tiktok: heads and tails go to the “My Network” section and select “Newsletters.”

Furthermore! each author can only create one newsletter (at least for now). Therefore! it’s not possible to segment newsletters.

Will LinkedIn newsletters replace traditional newsletters?
I highly doubt it. Let’s not forget that one of the main assets of newsletters is the data they’re managed from. And on LinkedIn! this data remains LinkedIn’s . The newsletter creator will be able to see who’s subscribed and what information appears on their profile! but they won’t have access to their data (which! incidentally! is logical). They also can’t manage subscription lists.

That said! it is still an interesting addition.

2. Surveys are back on LinkedIn
LinkedIn announced with great fanfare in May 2020 this tool for members to launch surveys through their personal profiles . What a great new development.

And it made me smile.

Because in this case! surveys have made a round trip on LinkedIn ! and while LinkedIn can be accused of copying features from another company! in this case! it deserves credit for being a pioneer. The thing is! being first isn’t always the same as being the best.

LinkedIn introduced polls a decade ago… but discontinued them because they canada email lead weren’t used. First! in 2013! they removed them from personal profiles! and in 2014! they removed them from groups.

Now they’re back! After Facebook! Instagram! and Twitter have been around for a while! it must be said.

How are LinkedIn surveys different?

LinkedIn is the social network where you can keep your poll active for the LinkedIn newsletter? longest period of time: you can choose one day! three days! one week! or two weeks. On Twitter! the maximum time is one week! and on Facebook and Instagram! polls can only be created on personal profiles through Stories! with the result that they expire after 24 hours (on Facebook! it’s still possible to run group polls).

Unlike Twitter! LinkedIn’s responses aren’t anonymous : the pollster knows who voted and what they chose. Just like Facebook and Instagram.

Another unique feature on LinkedIn is that the question constitutes the title of the survey and is part of it . You can offer up to four answer options.

Here’s the survey I launched about LinkedIn newsletters… which showed me that almost no one knew about them.

3. If you are looking for a job! let it be known in your profile picture.
In July 2020! LinkedIn launched a new “stamp” for users to show they’re looking for work … or open to it. The feature is called #OpenToWork . It’s a green frame (with the slogan above) surrounding the profile picture of the person who activates it . To do this! simply go to your profile! go to “Add section!” and under “Introduction!” click “Looking for work.”
